Press Operator – Level 2
Job Description & Requirements
Neutronic Stamping and Plating is looking for hard working individuals, with a strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Experience with Punch Presses machines is a must. We offer competitive wages depending on experience. This is an onsite full-time position in Corona, 92878. We are hiring for both shift; first shift starts at 5am, and 2nd shift starts at 1pm.
Overall Responsibilities:
Operates 30 – 60 ton stamping (hydraulic) punch press to cut, bend, form, stretch, and straighten metal coil to form continuous high-speed precision stamped metal product. All operators are expected to read and interpret blueprints, adhere to job specifications, and safety standards. Experience with Bruderer and Ing Yu Press’ is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Ability to operating machinery/presses
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to read micrometer and calipers
- Ability to enter data using Excel / Word Strong shop math skills (Ability to Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide, and Understanding of Fractions)
- 1-2 years minimum Punch Press Experience
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Configuring equipment and calibrating gauge settings
- Recognize the condition of dies
- Set up die according to specifications
- Inspect and verify acceptability of parts
- Report all non-conformances to supervisor
- Load material on various pay offs (Lo-Boy, Lazy Suzy, etc.)
- Reel change
- Visual inspections of product and raw material
- Documentation of inspection results and production data.
- Maintain good housekeeping
Pay Range: $20 to $24 per hour (Depending on Experience).
